The Florist's Manual

This hardcover guide to flower cultivation is one of the earliest American publications on horticulture written for the lay person.Originally published in 1833, this horticultural resource manual was "designed as an introduction to vegetable physiology and systematic botany, for cultivators of flowers, with more than eighty beautifully-coloured engravings of poetic flowers." Florist's Manual is published in cooperation with Old Sturbridge Village—one of America's leading living history and outdoor museums.
